ABOUT Me
I find endless inspiration in the Akan world.
I come from a tribe between Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire, for whom gold has profound meaning.
The regalia and symbol of Akan art and jewellery is heavy in significance. When I began to design jewellery I looked back to my origins and understood that there are so many motifs and stories I could draw on.
Living in Paris and seeing the high jewellery of the Place Vendôme, I knew my own jewellery line should blend the wonders of both.
Ours is a powerful and beautiful culture, and I’m proud to share it with the world.
Kouali
Inspired by artistry and story
Mining a rich seam of fascination and inspiration, Akan’s storied culture is at the heart of Liko Bijoux.
Drawing on the traditional motifs of Akan art, I use these influences with contemporary polish. Continually seeking inspiration through reading and travel, I keep my imagination and sense of wonder renewed.
Sharing the symbolism and meaning behind each piece, I, through Liko Bijoux’s fine jewellery, create harmony between story and style.
